JACKFISH, Manitoba – Riverwound Energy has its central office in Jackfish Manitoba, a town of nearly 130 people.   Allan Oingin, the former CFO of Riverwound has been arrested for embezzlement and conspiracy to commit fraud.  He and 2 administrative assistants, Melanie Butterface and Barbi Juggs had planned to use forged AFEs and shell companies to sneak money out of the company coffers and then allegedly leave the country.

Emails and documents illustrating the basic plan have been found by RCMP investigators on all 3 of their personal computers and shred baskets.  The investigation has stalled however as there is no trace of the money.

We have searched everywhere physical, and tried to trace accounts through Oingin’s computers at home and at work, but the $42 million Riverwound is missing is so far not accounted for.  Mr. Oingin has been very cooperative, but he was too smart for his own good, and he watched too much TV. – Randy Bucklarkey, Sgt RCMP.

According to insider reports, Mr. Oingin used a third party account transfer service linked to an offshore tripling hub and a foreign router to move the money around and keep it hidden.  What it appears was lost on Mr. Oingin was that with so many proxies for the money, and each one independent of the other, there is currently no way to trace the money.

Mr. Oingin was under the impression he was just being careful, but it turns out these proxies are very hush hush and now there may be no way to find any of the money. – Grant Gerbee, Oingins attorney and brother in law.

Riverwound has fired Mr. Oingin and promoted his successor, a recent employee of Enron.  Both administrative assistants involved have been allowed to remain in their positions, as the executive at Riverwound claim that workflow in the office seems to stand still without their helpful insight and tactful approach to problems in the office.
